Finally, the artware lines: the famous Walt Disney figurines, Nostalgia Lines, Art Treasures of the World, Poppets and Toppets, and cookie jars, for example. This new hardbound book also holds over 300 original Metlox color brochures and pamphlets and over 700 full color photos.2001 values. AUTHORBIO: Carl Gibbs was an avid collector of various items, from 1950s furniture to art pottery, to dinnerware, especially hand-painted dinnerware. He evolved from collecting to selling dinnerware through the mail, to running The California Connection Dinnerware Shop. He loves discovering new patterns and learning about them through this business. He authored two editions of Collector's Encyclopedia of Metlox Potteries. REVIEW: This book shares a wealth of information concerning the Prouty years at Metlox. Although the first edition of the book included a full and complete survey of the Shaw years, this second edition delves more into the Prouty dinnerware and artware. Many new photographs and updated values are included.
